I received my BS from UM in 1978 while living in Germany. Lived in Georgia, North Carolina, then back to Maryland in 1980. In Maryland I’ve lived in Columbia, Glenelg, Ellicott City MD; and Annapolis - 2005 to present. I worked for the Army as a Youth Recreation Center Director in Germany; Fitness Instructor in GA and NC. Back in MD I had several occupations: I was a Fitness Program Director; then Scan Furniture sales and buyer; Operations Manager of an educational games manufacturer; Controller at a wire goods manufacturer; and Finance Manager at a non-profit health services company. Just prior to getting married to my current husband Rob, I retired to work on fixing up our home; selling the house he had in Columbia; helping his twin daughter get settled in college and deal with my mother’s ailing health who still lived where I grew up in Bethesda.

I have 3 step children: Shawn, Cheryl, & Jason from a previous marriage who I’m still close with as well as Rob’s twins: Anna & Lizzy. All of whom have children so I have a total of 9 grandkids: Kelsey 9, Logan 6, Rocky 5, Zoe, 4, MJ 2; Katiya 15 months; and Izzy, Nathan and Warren all under 1 year. I also have 2 dogs Chessi & Lenore. Since retiring I seem busier than I ever was when I worked. I’m on the board of a non-profit art gallery in Annapolis, I substitute teach fitness at a yoga studio, and just started tutoring at Homework Haven. Rob and I enjoy traveling. Often I accompany him on his business trips to conferences in the States and overseas. We try to take an actual vacation as well. Earlier this year we went to Port Douglass NY on Lake Champlain with our dogs. We will be in Santa Fe this September. Life is good!
